There are several types of candidiasis, or yeast infections. The infection is caused by overgrowth of a type of yeast called Candida. Normally, this yeast is found in small amounts in the human body. Certain foods, medicines, and health problems can cause more yeast to grow. Areas of the body which are warm or moist are the most susceptible. The overgrowth of yeast can cause uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous symptoms.
General sick feeling
To help control yeast growth, limit sugar and/or foods that turn to sugar, as well as molds or fungus, such as cheese. Processed foods lack nutrients and fiber that are necessary to feed the good bacteria in the intestines. Avoid chlorine, caffeine, coffee, and sodas.
If you get frequent yeast infections, you may want to investigate why you are having them. Antibiotics kill ALL bacteria, and leave no competition for For more effective treatment, use GX Assist and PB Assist to cleanse and restore the system, and help prevent future infections.* Using LifeLong Vitality supplements may also assist with overall balance in the body. To help prevent a detox reaction (the yeast has to leave the body) Use Zendocrine and TerraZyme to flush the system and keep the system moving.
There are several types of candidiasis:
Throat or mouth- oral candidiatis or Thrush
Genitals- yeast infection, and in women, vulvovaginal yeast infection
On the skin- Rash, particularly diaper rash
In the bloodstream- invasive candidiasis or candidemia.
After clearing out any type of yeast infection, use the following:
Use 1-2 drops on the bottom of feet daily for 7-10 days following infection.
Healthy adults do not usually get thrush. It is most often seen in infants, the elderly, those getting cheomotherapy, and those with diseases affecting their immune system. It is also common in people with diabetes, those taking antibiotics, and those with asthma inhalers using steroid medication.
White spots in the mouth and/or on the tongue
Redness in the mouth
Cracking at corners of the mouth where your lips meet
Untreated, thrush may infect your bloodstream, which can be very dangerous.
Essential oils for Thrush:
Use 2 drops of desired oil in 1/4 cup water and swish in mouth. If able, swallow after swishing.
Yeast Infection of the Genitals
Vaginal yeast infections are common in women, but can also occur in men. This is more likely in men who are not circumcised.
Extreme itching or burning in the genital area
Soreness or redness in the genital area
White discharge that looks like small cottage cheese
Essential oils for Yeast Infections:
Use 3-4 drops in a bath or on a warm compress placed in the area of concern. Repeat as often as possible.
Not all diaper rashes are caused by yeast. Babies with a yeast-related diaper rash may have:
Dark red patches on the skin in the diaper area, especially skin folds
Yellow, fluid-filled spots that can break open and become flaky.
If these symptoms are present, consult your healthcare provider.
Essential Oils for Diaper Rash caused by Yeast:
Use 3-4 drops in a bath, and apply 1 drop to the bottom of baby’s foot. Repeat often.
Invasive Yeast Infection
If Candida yeast gets into your bloodstream, it can spread to other parts of the body. This type of infection is also called candidemia.
This infection may happen if you have a weakened immune system and a yeast infection goes untreated.
This type of infection is more often seen in people who are or have been in the hospital. It is a leading cause of bloodstream infections and death in hospitalized patients.
This type of infection generally occurs when you:
Are in the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU)
Have had recent surgery
Have a catheter
Have a weakened immune system
Invasive candidiasis is a very serious condition. See your healthcare provider for proper treatment.
Essential oils for Invasive Yeast Infections:
Use of these oils is most effective when 3-4 drops are taken internally in a capsule for 5-7 days. When using Oregano oil, be sure to follow with PB Assist.
